Claymation
Definition:
Claymation is a type of stop motion movie that is created using clay models and recorded with a camera. The sculpted characters are arranged on the set and are taken a picture once, before readjusting the still model slightly for the next frame. These steps are repeated until the animator is satisfied with the length of the film. The recorded frames are then played rapidly to create an illusion of motion. (Over ten to twelve frames per second)
