Peter Pan
Biography of Peter Pan:
The fictional character Peter Pan, was created by a Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie. Peter Pan is a mischievous, young, free spirited boy who can soar through the sky and never grows up. As Peter Pan once mentioned, "Second star to the right, and straight on til morning." and from afar, these stars represent where the imaginary island of Neverland is located. Peter Pan spends his eternal childhood having a daring adventurous life on the island with his best friend Tinker Bell that is a pixie, and as the leader of the Lost Boys. Interacting with other mythical beasts and beings such as: pirates, mermaids, fairies, Native Americans, and other children from outside of Neverland.
His favorite activities are goofing off, playing "pretend", listening to Wendy's tales of his thrilling adventures, battling pirates, as well as having playful and friendly wars with the Native Indians. Peter Pan is well loved and respected by most of the citizens of Neverland except for Captain Hook and his crew, who detests Peter for the first battle they had, that ended with Hook's left hand getting chopped off and being fed to the ticking crocodile. Being an immortal boy can also be quite immature, Peter can sometimes show a bit of insolence, self-conceitedness, and a lot of ignorance. Despite declaring his intense hatred for adulthood, when it comes to having to rescue his friends, he will put his childlike nature aside and will act far more mature than any adult. By the end of the film, Peter selflessly escorts Wendy and her brothers back home to London, no matter how much he desired to have them stay in Neverland forever, he was mature enough to let them go.

Why I chose Peter Pan:
The reason behind why I chose to draw Peter Pan is because remembering my reminiscence of the past, "Peter Pan" and "Tinker Bell" have always been my top most favorite Disney Films ever created alongside with Ariel and Mulan! I've always been such a Disney kid. As a child I believed in fairies existing in this world. I dreamed of meeting a pixie and letting it teach me how to fly into the sky. I can recall a clear memory to explain that one time: I invented my very own fairy size dollhouse from scratch and left it just outside in front of our house porch. Hoping that one day, a fairy will enter inside and get trapped. Although it didn't end so well, considering that I found it in the garbage the next day, and I know who threw it there: my mother.

Synopsis of Peter Pan in His World:
Peter Pan is an immortal boy who lives in the world of Neverland, alongside with his best friend who is a pixie named Tinker Bell, and also is the leader of the Lost Boys.
One starry night in London, Peter and Tink were on a hunt to get Peter Pan's shadow back. They weren't as careful as they should've been, and ended up waking Wendy and her brothers. Soon after they found his shadow, Wendy sewed it up for him. She had told him her fears of adulthood, and so Peter Pan had thought of a plan to take her and her young brothers to the place he lives: Neverland, where no one has to ever grow up. Second star to the right, and straight on til morning was were they went. The event led to an adventurous night consisting of: battling pirates, meeting new children and mythical creatures, and last but not least playing games. However it all had to come to an end so soon. During Wendy and her brothers small visit, her brothers had surprisingly forgotten about their parents except for Wendy. (Not only does Neverland make you immortal but it also makes you forget your memories.) She had came to a realization that she misses her mother and father, the amnesia of her brothers had made her worry she would forget about them too. Eventually she told tales about what parents are and what they do, and now everyone wanted one as well. At the very end, they all went back to London leaving Peter Pan behind. |
