Pixilation
Definition
Pixilation is a stop motion technique where movements of live actors are used frame by frame as if they appear to be a part of the animated film. In this case, the actors become a living stop motion puppet. This technique is produced by repeatedly taking a picture of each action one or more times and slightly changing the pose before the next frame(s). The result of this frames combined together create the illusion of motion. Furthermore, this technique is a great way to blend both real life actors with animation characters in a movie.
